Communities We Reach
Where Our Books Make an Impact
Our journey began in 2015 with the publication of Kikeo & the Whale, our first book . Since 2019, Little Explorer, Big World™ has worked with schools, libraries, nonprofit organizations, Indigenous communities, conservation initiatives, and local partners to place bilingual and multilingual books in the hands of children and families around the world.
Many of these relationships continue year after year, reflecting our belief that meaningful impact grows through long-term partnerships, local collaboration, and access to stories in the languages of the heart.

Trees Planted
741+ Trees Planted
Through Little Explorer, Big World™, books become more than stories. They inspire children, teachers, and communities to take action for the planet through hands-on environmental activities, including tree planting and habitat care.
Our earlier initiatives resulted in 500+ trees planted across Colombia, including projects in Tolima and Valle del Cauca. More recent documented activities added:
- 160 trees — Ábrego, Norte de Santander
- 63 trees — Córdoba, Quindío
- 18 trees — Tunja, Boyacá
Total documented impact: 741+ trees planted.
The 2025 report notes that tree-planting activities are still underreported, meaning the actual number is likely higher.
